Katherine has worked with permanent collections and on special exhibitions in museums in the United States and United Kingdom, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, and the Fitzwilliam Museum.

In these experiences, she has researched decorative arts objects, particularly glass and ceramics, as well as paintings, prints, and furniture.
